Last week’s “Coffee with Tech-Park Kaunas” networking event brought a fresh dose of insight and inspiration to the innovation ecosystem. The members of the Digital Rocket LT cluster joined the community for a thought-provoking morning of networking and knowledge-sharing. Set against the backdrop of rising interest in AI regulation, the event attracted startups and innovators keen to better understand how evolving laws are shaping the future of AI development across Europe.
Guest speaker Dr. Valentas Gružauskas, an expert in AI system compliance and a representative of the European AI Office, delivered a compelling talk on the practical impact of the EU AI Act. “AI is no longer just about performance. It is about transparency, data quality, and ethical responsibility. From risk assessments to continuous system monitoring, the AI Act is reshaping the way we build and deploy AI tools, ensuring they remain safe, trustworthy, and aligned with European values, without stifling innovation”, explained Dr. Gružauskas.
The community also had the opportunity to explore the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Distance LAB’s “Living Labs” designed to support remote and hybrid innovation. Through the “Innovation Bridge LAB”, startups gained access to hands-on tools and practical strategies for distributed teamwork.
